Copy the nearest existing component. Do not guess.
Primitives: @/components/ui/* (button, input, textarea, icon, dropdown, context, tooltip, switch, collapsible, scroll, search, tabs). cn() from @/lib/utils.
Icons: Icon from @/components/ui/icon with a Fluent glyph component. Not Lucide. Not Remix string names. Not a hand-rolled <svg> unless it is a brand asset.
Tokens only: text-text-primary / secondary / muted, bg-panel / panel-hover / panel-active, bg-surface-1–3, bg-accent, border-border-subtle. Never text-gray-*, bg-zinc-*, text-foreground, bg-muted.
Type: text-sm is the default. text-xs for metadata. font-normal in sidebars. font-medium on setting titles. No font-semibold on general chrome.
Buttons: <Button>. Do not style a raw <button>. Selects: DropdownMenu like SettingSelect in features/settings/ui/setting-controls.tsx. Tooltips: <Tooltip content={…}>. Collapsible: CollapsibleSection.
Do not put rounded-* / shadow-* / bg-* / p-* on DropdownMenuContent.
Heights: h-chrome (28px) for controls. File rows h-[20px]. Panel header matches chat tabs (h-[36px], text-sm).
