Maintenance, license and trust

  • The repository was last updated about 3 months ago. That is recent enough to be usable, but agent tooling moves fast, so check the instructions against your agent's current version.
  • No license is declared. By default that means all rights are reserved: you can read it, but reusing or redistributing it is not clearly permitted. Ask the author before building on it commercially.
  • Its trust signals score 78/100, with 2 cautions from licensing, adoption, age or documentation. These come from repository metadata, not a code audit — read the skill file before letting an agent act on it.

Which AI agents does ia_3d_print_designer work with?
It is written for Claude Code and Claude Desktop, as a MCP Server file. Other agents that read the same format can often use it too.
Is ia_3d_print_designer safe to use?
It declares no license and scores 78/100 on trust signals. Skills are instructions an agent will follow, so read the file before installing it and do not approve commands you do not understand.
Is ia_3d_print_designer still maintained?
The repository was last updated about 3 months ago. That is recent enough to be usable, but agent tooling moves fast, so check the instructions against your agent's current version.

3D Printing CAD AI Framework

1. Entorno de Python (validación de mallas)

python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt

2. FreeCAD y Slicer

export SLICER_COMMAND="/Applications/OrcaSlicer.app/Contents/MacOS/OrcaSlicer"

    .venv/bin/python3 scripts/validate_mesh.py examples/output/simple_box.stl --material PLA

  2. Paso 2: Conectar VS Code con el Servidor MCP

    • Configura mcp_server.py como servidor MCP en tu cliente (VS Code, Claude Code o Claude Desktop), usando la ruta absoluta del repo en tu máquina:
      "freecad-mcp": {
        "command": "python3",
        "args": ["<ruta_al_repo>/scripts/mcp_server.py"]
      }

      ./scripts/watch_macro.py parts/<nombre>/macro.py
