Code for fitting to degree distributions of complex networks using maximum likelihood estimators.
Accompanies the paper "Fitting degree distributions of complex networks" authors Shane Mannion and Padraig MacCarron.
Contents
`MLE_functions.py' - file containing all necessary functions to fit to a degree distribution, plot the results and bootstrap the data.
`ASoIaF.py' - file containing a worked example of the methodology applied to the degree distribution of the character network from A Song Of Ice and Fire [1]
`ASoIaF' - pickle file containing a networkx.Graph object
