Outward

A very narrow, yet libre typeface

About

Outward is a display font family coming in three cuts: Block (regular), Round (italic) and Borders (bold). Outward Block was initially designed in capitals only with the intent of getting rid of white spaces to reach a black type color, as opposed to the ideal grey sought after by typographers. The extended set of characters and families was developped following this root.

Outward is designed by Raoul Audouin and distributed by Velvetyne Type Foundry.

Kerning

Outward includes a complete collection of kerning pairs intended to minimize spaces between letters.

Languages Supported

Outward supports an extended set of Latin and Cyrillic characters, covering most modern languages using one of the two alphabets.

Specimen

A specimen intended to be printed as a booklet (160 × 277 mm) is available in a screen (PDF, 72 KB) and print (PDF, 569 KB) version.
