🛠 Requirements

Make sure these are installed:

Hyprland (Wayland WM)
EWW (Latest version)
playerctl, pamixer, brightnessctl, awk, date, whoami, hostname
Basic shell tools and config knowledge

Tips

Tips (do after installation)

-You can use a systemd service or autostart Arctyx with Hyprland by adding it to your config.

-Position the launcher icon using Hyprland rules if needed.

-Adjust paths inside .sh files if your directories differ.

-Add keybinds in Hyprland config to toggle eww open & eww close for convenience.

-Avoid autostarting popups; use scripts or keybinds for more control.

-Plan a fallback “kill switch” if widgets hide before quitting EWW.

📦 Installation

The Build is currently in progress and evolving. It is recommended to have prior knowledge of Linux before installation. Once the build is complete, I'll make another release for easy installation.

# Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/pritayan/Arctyx ~/.config/eww

# Make sure eww is installed and running
eww daemon &

# Change directory to eww
cd ~/.config/eww

# Open your window by running the script 
./ewwloader.sh

# Make the script executable (if not)
sudo chmod +x ewwloader.sh
