GeoDescriber

<b>GeoDescriber</b> is a geoprocessing tool which uses natural language generation to describe the landscape of a place.

• It uses the Living Atlas, the best available global data, as its data cube.

• It can be made available to text-to-speech engines for section 508 compliance. Therefore, it can describe what a map is showing to visually impaired readers.

• <b>GeoDescriber's</b> descriptions are useful in online map popups.

• If a professional writer is used to edit the output, <b>GeoDescriber</b> simplifies their task. They simply edit GeoDescriber’s descriptions to make them their own style.

• If a professional writer is not used to edit the output, <b>GeoDescriber's</b> descriptions are already finished and grammatically correct.

• <b>GeoDescriber</b> is useful in essays, for wikipedia, or wherever technical descriptions of landscapes are required.

<b>GeoDescriber</b> may be adapted and applied to other physical descriptions, as well as to cultural or economic descriptions.

<i><P>Most of Serengeti National Park has a hot and moist bioclimate.</P><P>About a third of Serengeti National Park is high hills, mostly composed of metamorphics. Most of these high hills are on the northeastern part of the park. About a quarter of the park is flat or nearly flat plains. Most of these flat or nearly flat plains are on the southeastern part of the park. Fractions of the park form low mountains and scattered low mountains.</P><P>Rainfed cropland covers about a third of Serengeti National Park. Most of this rainfed cropland is in the northeastern part of the park. Shrubland covers about a third of the park. Most of this shrubland is in the northeastern part of the park. Grassland covers about a quarter of the park. Almost all of this grassland is in the southeastern part of the park. </P><P>A mix of metamorphics and non-carbonate sedimentary rocks predominate throughout the landforms of Serengeti National Park.</P></i>
