Technical Challenges

  • Challenge 1: The challenge we experienced was getting the likes to dynamically render, so when a user likes a post, the like count would increase by one when clicked but if a user clicks the like a second time it would decrease by one.

  • Solution: We solved this by creating a function that would check if the user has already liked the post and if they have, it would decrease the like count by one and if they haven't, it would increase the like count by one.

  • Challenge 2: The challenge we experienced was getting the reviews to dynamically render, so when a user submits a review, the review would render on the page without having to refresh the page.

  • Solution: We solved this by creating a function that would check if the user has already submitted a review and if they have, it would render the review on the page and if they haven't, it would not render the review on the page.
