The Jain Literature Open Repository (JLOR) is a public list of all canonical and post-canonical scriptures of Jainism and their English translations. This includes the Agams, Anuyogas, and many other texts by prominent Acharyas.

[!NOTE]
Only texts that do not have detailed English translations available have been processed. Current translation quality is only acceptable for discoverability purposes and general understanding. This serves as the first step towards creating verified translations (by Pandits and Upadhyays/Sadhus). Currently, Gemini-1.5 Flash and Claude-Haiku LLM models are being used to generate the translations. The translation processing will be re-run every few years until there are verified translations for the entire Jain canon. With the current models, there may be hallucinations (repeated phrases or irrelevant phrases) given the nature of AI LLMs.

Want to request a book to be translated? Email quantum@jainelibrary.org with the book link or title.

If you are a Jain scholar (or know a Sadhu/Pandit) that wants to work on a verified translation, please email us at quantum@jainelibrary.org.

✅ Verified - Denotes a verified English translation by a Jain scholar.
