canardy Cricket - Canard VTOL Aircraft

A VTOL demonstrator in a canard configuration. All up apprx. 800g, with 4S 2.2 Ah LiPo Battery

Based upon the dRehmFlight controller V1.3 by Nicolas Rehm.

Electronics

  • Teensy 4.1
  • MPU6050
  • 3 x KISS ESC32 via OneShot
  • 6 x Servos mini-class (ca. 12 g), preferrably metal-gear
  • RC Transmitter & Reciever

Mechanics

  • 3 x brushless motors (FPV Racing), apprx. 2300 KV, incl. 5" propellers
  • Carbon Tube (here 16mm diameter), Carbon rods for reinforcement & flap hinges
  • Tilting Mechanism (here 3D printed)

AVL Model - for flight mechanics analysis

  • cC.avl - main AVL file with dimension (! Absolute file paths used here, please change accordingly !)
  • cC.mass - Mass file for CG settings
  • clarky-il.dat - Aerodynamic Profile file
