This is a keyboard layout file for OSX that turns your keystrokes into full-width Unicode characters.
INSTALLATION
These instructions are for OSX 10.9 ("Mavericks"). The procedure is similar on earlier versions of OSX.
1. Download the .keylayout file. Copy it into ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts.(In the Finder, use the "Go to Folder" item in the "Go" menu.) 2. Log out and log back in again. 3. Enable the keyboard layout by opening System Preferences. Select "Keyboard", then "Input Sources." Click "+" to add a new layout. The fullwidth keyboard will be listed in the "Other" section. 4. Select "Full Width" from the input menu. 5. The power of weird twitter now literally drips from your fingertips.
NOTES
The [SPACE] key in this layout produces Unicode IDEOGRAPHIC SPACE (U+3000). I prefer this, because it creates even spacing. However, many programs don't know how to break words when this character is used. To insert a normal space (U+0020), hold the [OPTION] key while pressing [SPACE].
This layout is based on the default U.S. keyboard layout in OSX. If you're an AZERTY or Dvorak user, you'll have to create your own layout file.
