Airframes Public Data

This data is collected, crafted, curated, processed, pruned, and otherwise prepared for public consumption. You may use this data in your own applications and products. We have done the dirty work to find and provide the data in a central place in standard formats.

We encourage additions and corrections to the scripts and data via Pull Requests.

If you do wish to use the data in your project, please be respectful of the licensing terms. There are three options:

• Non-Commercial License
• Non-Commercial Significant Contributor License
• Commercial License

This data repository offers some common aeronautical elements, and is separate from the feed messages historical database (of which we do plan to offer access to via API -- free for feeders and significant contributors).

Non-Commercial License

Use of the data here for your non-commercial projects is allowed & encouraged. There is no cost to you. We only ask for a small attribution is made to help reinforce awareness of our efforts and to encourage others to submit improvements (which in turn benefits you). This is optional! Republishing the data and representing it as your own is prohibited, as it undercuts the significant amount of effort we continue to put into this.

Shoot us a note to let us know that you're using it at licensing@airframes.io so that we can tell others about your cool project, or update you if there are going to be significant changes to the structure of data.

If you find these resources useful, you may also consider a non-commercial contribution to our data project funds. This is optional for non-commercial uses, but thank you for any contributions.

Non-Commercial Significant Contributor License

As a thank you to meaningful contributions, any significant contributor may use the data in their projects without attribution for non-commercial purposes. A significant contributor is classified by meaningful data file submissions or a minimum of $250 annual non-commercial contribution to our data project funds.

Commercial License

Use of the data here for your commercial projects is not allowed without financial compensation. We have put significant resources into gathering, publishing, updating, curating, and otherwise creating for our own projects that it is expected that commercial projects must pay for licensing.

You may purchase an annual license for this data for your commercial effort. If you need more information, please contact licensing@airframes.io.

Each annual license entitles the entity/project to be listed here, but are not by default. If you wish to be listed, email us after payment and include the name and description to be shown. Being listed can show your support for our effort and bring potential interest to your product.
