README

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Run locally

  1. Install dependencies

    npm install

  2. Environment (Firebase not configured by default)

    • .env.local exists but Firebase keys are empty until you add your project’s values.
    • See docs/LOCAL_SETUP.md for step-by-step setup:
      • Firebase client (NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_*): login, browse, client Firestore.
      • FIREBASE_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_KEY: required for API routes (bounties, bookings, conversations, agents).
    • Copy variable names from .env.local.example. Without Firebase, the app runs but login and API won’t work.
  3. Start the dev server

    npm run dev

    Open http://localhost:3000 in your browser.

Getting Started

Run the development server:

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Geist, a new font family for Vercel.

You can check out the Next.js GitHub repository - your feedback and contributions are welcome!

Deploy with Firebase (GitHub Actions)

Required GitHub secrets (repo → Settings → Secrets and variables → Actions):
NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_API_KEY, NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_AUTH_DOMAIN, NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_PROJECT_ID, NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_STORAGE_BUCKET, NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_MESSAGING_SENDER_ID, NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_APP_ID, NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_MEASUREMENT_ID, FIREBASE_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_KEY, FIREBASE_SERVICE_ACCOUNT (JSON for the deploy action), and optionally GOOGLE_*, STRIPE_*.

If deploy doesn’t run: push to main (or dev), then check the Actions tab for errors (e.g. missing secrets or build failure).

Deploy on Vercel

The easiest way to deploy your Next.js app is to use the Vercel Platform from the creators of Next.js.

Check out our Next.js deployment documentation for more details.
