Harry Potter Mod

A theme-based Among Us mod that adds items and roles related to the Harry Potter movies/books.

Installation Instructions (Launcher)

This mod comes packaged with an easy to use launcher. NOTE: The launcher sometimes gets flagged as a virus/unsafe. If you have any problems with the Launcher or concerns with it's safety, you can install the mod tradationally. (see below)

• Verify you have installed the C++ Redist.
• Click on the tab labeled "Releases" on the right of this page.
• Download the "HPLauncher.exe" from "Assets" section.
• Once it is downloaded, launch the exe file.
• Click on the "Install" button and wait for the mod to finish installing.
• Once it is installed, press the "Play" button.
• Once the game is open, start a local game and check for the watermark at the right of the screen.
• The mod is installed. Hooray!

Installation Instructions (Traditional)

• Verify you have installed the C++ Redist.
• Click on the tab labeled "Releases" on the right of this page.
• Click on the zip file inside the latest release window (either "latest.zip", or "HPMod.zip").
• Once it is downloaded, open the zip file.
• Open steam, right click on Among Us, hover over "Manage", and then press "Browse Local Files".
• If you see a folder called "BepInEx", delete it before installing the mod. This is to verify you don't accidentally install multiple incompatible mods.
• Drag all the files inside the downloaded zip file into your Among Us folder (if it prompts you to replace any files, do it).
• Open the game and wait; the first start may take a few minutes.
• Once the game is open, start a local game and check for the watermark at the right of the screen.
• The mod is installed. Hooray!

Roles

Bellatrix | None. | Can shoot a spell that temporarily blinds and freezes any player it connects with. | Can mind-control any player they choose and kill someone as that player. (shares a cooldown with the kill button)

Items

Item | Explanation ------------- | ------------- Deluminator | Toggles the status of the lights. Port Key | Teleports the user to the emergency meeting button. Marauder’s Map | Zooms out the player's vision so they can see almost the entire map. The Golden Snitch | Can be used during meetings to force all the votes onto a single player. Resurrection Stone | Allows the holder to see ghosts. Elder Wand | If the holder is a crewmate, it grants them a one-time kill button, and if they're an Impostor, it refreshes all their cooldowns. Sorting Hat | Target a player during the meeting phase to reveal their role to the entire lobby. Philosopher Stone | Revives the holder if they are killed or voted off. Butter Beer (Trap Item) | For 10 seconds the user’s controls are reversed and their speed is increased (immediately used on pick-up). Basilisk (Trap Item) | Stuns the player who touches the item and lowers their vision until the next meeting is called (immediately used on pick-up).

Game Options

Game Setting | Explanation ------------- | ------------- Defensive Duelist Cooldown | Changes the cooldown of Ron's active ability. Invisibility Cloak Cooldown | Changes the cooldown of Harry's active ability. Time Turner Cooldown | Changes the cooldown of Hermione's active ability. Crucio Cooldown | Changes the cooldown of Bellatrix's spell. Order of the Impostors | If toggled, the Impostors can win by eliminating Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Can Spells be Used in Vents | If toggled, spells can be casted while the caster is inside a vent. Show Info Popups/Tooltips | When 'On', informational popups/tooltips will be shown. Shared Voldemort Cooldowns | When 'On', the Kill button and the Curse button will share a cooldown.
